Two Stage Homogenizer
There is a type of homogenizer known as a two-stage homogenizer that comprises two homogenizing valves. The role of the first stage is mainly to make the particles in the liquid smaller, while the second stage allows the gathered particles in the liquid to be dispersed.
The two-stage homogenizer is mainly used to break up products with high-fat content of fat globules in the product, products with high dry matter content, and products with low viscosity.

In a two-stage homogenizer, the high-pressure reciprocating pump drives the fluid material to the working valves (a first-stage homogenizer valve and a second-stage valve) through the power transmission. By passing through the working valve under high pressure, the material to be processed is subjected to high shear, impact, and cavitation, resulting in ultrafine liquid or solid particles.
The first stage valve makes the liquid particles more refined, and the second stage valve makes the liquid particles more evenly distributed.
In addition to improving the dispersion of fat globules in the milk, the two-stage homogenizer is useful in controlling cream and ice cream viscosity. Dairy products such as milk, ice cream, and so on are high-fat products. Two-stage homogenizers are more suitable for them.
While single-stage homogenizer is suitable for low-fat products.
Small two-stage homogenizers, there is usually in stock. Industrial homogenizers and large homogenizers depend on the specific situation.
